Meetings of Linton Parish Council take place on the second Monday of each month, except August and December when there is no meeting. So, ten meetings each year. The AGM is the May meeting each year. All meetings take place in Linton Village Hall and start at 7.30pm. All meetings include an opportunity for members of the public to comment, or to raise issues of concern.
There is also a Parish Annual Meeting (not to be confused with the Parish Council AGM!) which takes place during April each year. The Parish Annual Meeting is not a council meeting as such, it is an open meeting for all Linton residents (and other interested parties) to attend and raise any issue they wish. There will be a report by the Parish Council Chairman on events in the village over the past year as well as reports by the Village Hall Chairman, the Footpaths and Trees Officer(s), the Allotment Manager, Neighbourhood Watch, Linton Archivist and so forth. Often there will be a guest speaker as well.
If you take no other part in the affairs of the Linton community, please do make the effort to attend the Parish Annual Meeting. It is democratic, in the purest form of that word. All are welcome, all can speak. The next meeting will take place in April 2019 in Linton Village Hall.
