M20 Closures during November 2018

An update from Highways England.

Scroll down the page, for a graphic illustrating what will be done..

Please find attached a summary of upcoming closures on the M20 J3-5 smart motorway scheme for November.

These closures are to enable the scheme to remove some gantries and reinstall Teapot Lane Footbridge. We apologise in advance for any inconvenience caused by our works and encourage everyone to check the scheme website for the advised diversion routes and allow extra time for their journeys:
https://highwaysengland.co.uk/projects/m20-junctions-3-to-5-smart-motorway/

We are keeping gantry removal work separate from the installation of Teapot Lane Footbridge. This is to allow safe working space. The installation of the footbridge involves a large crane being moved onto and along the motorway and this would interfere with works to remove gantries if we tried to do this work at the same time. We will be contacting people who live close to the works to let them know what is happening during November.

The dates for these closures have been agreed with the Kent Corridor Coordination Group (KCCG).

If you would like any further information please Email us at: M20.J3-5Smart@highwaysengland.co.uk, or alternatively you can telephone Highways England Customer Contact Centre on Tel: 0300 123 5000

Note that the M20 will be fully closed 16-19 November 2018
